Experience: Over 20 years’ experience as an in-house and freelance non-fiction project manager, editor, proofreader and writer for publishing companies such as HarperCollins, Reader’s Digest, New Holland, Lansdowne, Allen & Unwin, Random House, Simon & Schuster, Weldon Russell, Margaret Gee Publishing and International Business Communications. I have also worked for many travel, business and government organisations – including Tourism Queensland, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, City of Sydney Council, Arthritis Australia and the National Institute of Dramatic Art. Author of 13 books (travel guides, ‘Australiana’ publications, an Australian slang book and three baby names books). Magazine experience includes feature writing for The Quorum (formerly Australia’s leading business travel publication) and subeditor of Out & About With Kids (a family travel and leisure magazine).

Qualifications: BA Hons (English, Drama, History of Art).

Computer capability: Mac with Microsoft Word.

Services offered: Copy editing/subediting (onscreen and hard copy), structural editing, proofreading, manuscript assessment and development, plain English rewriting and ghostwriting, project management. Also magazine subediting, article writing, general copywriting and photo captioning.
