Experience includes wire service in Vietnam (1966-67) as well as three and a half decades based in Hong Kong. As a freelance editor/ writer/ photographer, has covered stories from the boardrooms of Manila and beaches of Thailand to the Chinese food of Hong Kong and wine in Australia. Stints as Deputy Editor of Cathay Pacific's in-flight magazine Discovery; editor-in-chief of 13 business-to-business magazines for the HK Trade Development Council; publications manager and editor of the Uni of HK's corporate publications; and editor of the Foreign Correspondents' Club's magazine, The Correspondent. Also participated (as author or editor) in 24 book projects from guidebooks to Hong Kong (for Insight Guides, Fodor's and the Trade Development Council) to a massive tome on the 150th anniversary of the Hong Kong Cricket Club, plus annual reports and brochures. Also taught journalism and was a media trainer. Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts (1962), Washington & Jefferson College, Washington, PA, USA; CELTA Certificate (1999), Cambridge/RSA Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults, British Council. Computer capability: PC – Windows XP with MS Word, Excel. Acrobat. CD-ROM burning & scanning available.
