The IPEd Constitution is the primary legal document defining IPEd’s nature, purposes, powers and governance structures and processes. A constitution is required by the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). For IPEd as a direct membership organisation, the IPEd Constitution defines branches, sub-branches and special interest groups. The rules governing these operating units of IPEd are defined in the IPEd by-laws. Those by-laws are established under this constitution and referred to where appropriate in the constitution.
