Editors NSW is the NSW branch of the Institute of Professional Editors, which promotes:
• using editorial services
• developing editing standards
• exchanging and disseminating information and ideas between editors.
Branch members include freelance and in-house editors working on books, journals, magazines and corporate and public sector productions, as well as indexers, proofreaders, writers, translators, and others, among whom the common bond is a dedication to language and effective communication.
The branch meets every first Tuesday of the month at 6.30 pm for 7 pm at the Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts, Level 1, 280 Pitt Street, Sydney (between Park and Bathurst streets, near the Town Hall train station).This venue is wheelchair accessible and has an ambulant bathroom. NB: July and December meetings are dinner events at other venues.
